We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging center in Wheat Ridge on a flexible, as-needed, PRN basis.
Position Summary
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment. This role ensures patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging while delivering an exceptional patient experience with a strong focus on compassionate care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Ensure proper patient positioning, image quality, and radiation safety
- Provide compassionate care, recognizing the sensitive nature of mammography exams
- Educate patients on procedures and answer questions to ease anxiety
- Verify patient information, orders, and documentation for accuracy
- Maintain mammography equipment and report any issues promptly
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards, including MQSA requirements
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and front office staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and work areas
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT (M) required
- State licensure as required
