Chick-fil-A Norwalk is hiring a full-time Kitchen Manager! Must be available flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
DESCRIPTION:
The Kitchen Manager has the responsibility for directing the daily operations of a quick service restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operations, including production, preparation, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting, financial accountability, ensuring the highest quality products and services are delivered to our customers and other duties as required. The person applying for this position must have excellent communication skills. Previous management experience is required. You must be a minimum age of 18+ years old for this job.
Essential Job Functions:
- Delegate kitchen duties and team members’ daily tasks and operations.
- Meet the requirements of the Restaurant Operations evaluation inspections.
- Set clear kitchen goals and objectives, such as eliminating waste, LEAN systems, fresher food, etc.
- Maintain highest quality of food and ensure food safety policies are followed according to Chick-fil-A standards.
- Communicate effectively between the front of house team members, kitchen staff and leadership.
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to assist in rollouts of new products, services and equipment installations/maintenance.
- Train and coach team members and leaders on correct food preparation processes.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of kitchen equipment to ensure equipment is working properly and well maintained, such as boil-outs, filters changes, gasket cleanings, etc
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a restaurant kitchen
- Ability to work on a team, hold team members accountable, and make decisions that align with the Operator vision and Chick-fil-A corporate mission statement
- Must be available to work Full-time with flexible shifts and Saturdays
- Must be willing to become ServSafe Certified
