Overview
Growing Care Development Services, LLC is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled professionals to join our 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team serving Fredericksburg and the Region 1 service area, including the City of Fredericksburg and surrounding localities. Team members provide rapid, community-based behavioral health crisis intervention services to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises. Mobile Crisis Response is designed to stabilize individuals in the least restrictive environment through immediate assessment, intervention, de-escalation, safety planning, and coordination of ongoing care. Must be Mobile Crisis Trained.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent crisis intervention, assessment, de-escalation, documentation, and communication skills while maintaining professionalism and compassion in high-pressure situations. Candidates must be able to work independently, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and provide person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to crisis calls and dispatch mobile teams to assess individuals in various community locations.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments utilizing DSM-5 criteria and clinical documentation standards.
- Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies to ensure safety for clients and responders.
- Provide evidence-based interventions such as psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and behavioral therapy tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and community partners to develop personalized care plans, including case management and follow-up support.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Collect data on crisis incidents for quality improvement initiatives and research purposes, ensuring compliance with ICD coding and CPT coding standards.
Experience
- Virginia QMHP, LMHP, LMHP-Resident, CSAC, Supervisee in Social Work, Resident in Counseling, or other qualified behavioral health credential, as permitted by program requirements.
- Experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, substance use treatment, case management, emergency services, or community mental health preferred.
- Valid Virginia driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and maintain required certifications.
- Excellent clinical judgment, organizational skills, documentation skills, and ability to work independently.
