Light the Lights is seeking talented Holiday Decorators and Installers to help create extraordinary holiday experiences in New York City’s premier hotels, luxury commercial properties, and upscale residences.
We are looking for individuals who have an exceptional eye for detail, take pride in beautiful craftsmanship, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Whether your specialty is decorating luxury Christmas trees, installing garlands, styling wreaths, wrapping gifts, or holiday installation, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Decorate luxury Christmas trees with professional attention to detail.
- Install garlands, wreaths, and holiday décor throughout commercial properties and luxury residences.
- Work safely and confidently on ladders.
- Professionally wrap decorative gifts and display packages.
- Assemble, shape, and fluff artificial Christmas trees.
- Install lighting, ribbon, ornaments, florals, and specialty décor.
- Load, unload, organize, and care for holiday inventory.
- Work efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality and professionalism.
Qualifications
We encourage applicants with experience in:
- Holiday decorating
- Commercial or hotel decorating
- Luxury residential decorating
- Visual merchandising
- Floral design
- Event production
- Interior styling
Applicants should also:
- Have an excellent eye for design and detail.
- Be comfortable working on ladders.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
Starting pay is $40.00 per hour.
Higher hourly rates are available for experienced decorators based on skill level, portfolio, and professional experience. We encourage highly experienced decorators and installers to apply .
Schedule
This is a seasonal position.
- Most installations take place during the first three weeks of November.
- Additional installations may continue into early December.
- Holiday décor removal (takedown) takes place in January.
Applicants should have flexible availability during these periods.
