Plan job layouts and prepare materials prior to installation activities.
Perform both overhead and underground layout and rough-in work.
Terminate a wide range of copper cabling, including coaxial, multi-pair, and Category 3 through Category 6 cable.
Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install cable tray systems using appropriate hand tools and measuring instruments.
Assemble and install relay racks, network cabinets, wall fields, and related hardware.
Install and terminate fiber optic cabling of all types.
Complete structured cabling installations in both new construction and existing facilities by interpreting diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
Properly set up, operate, and maintain copper and fiber optic testing equipment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within structured cabling systems.
Safely operate hand tools and equipment required to complete assigned tasks.
Perform additional project-related duties as directed by the supervisor.
Maintain regular attendance and follow established procedures for reporting lateness or absences.
