Job Summary
Bogart’s Restaurant & Tavern is looking for a motivated, reliable kitchen team member to join our back-of-house crew. This is primarily an evening weekend position with the potential for full-time hours (30-35/week). Duties include working the fryer station, building salads, and expoing plates to the window, with some light prep and dish shifts as needed.
What You'll Do
- Submit time-off requests before the schedule is posted
- Arrive on time and work your scheduled shifts as assigned
- Operate fryer and salad stations with accuracy and speed
- Plate dishes and manage the expo line for smooth service
- Assist with light prep and occasional dishwashing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Be respectful to all fellow employees and stay aware of guests at all times
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
Schedule
- Primarily Night Shift
- 4-5 Nights per week
- Option to pick up day shifts to reach full-time hours
- 3 or 4 day work week possible
- Closed late nights (we close at eight on weeknights and nine on the weekends)
- Predictable weekly schedule setPay
- Starting Pay: $16/hour or your current kitchen wage matched (with proof)
- 28-day evaluation period, either party may end employment during this time, reference intact, no hard feelings
- Pay increase possible during or at the end of the evaluation if performance is strong
What We’re Looking For
- Show up wanting to work and wanting to be here
- Dependable and on time, we don't babysit
- Willing to hustle and learn fast-paced kitchen systems
- Able to lift 40 lbs and be on your feet for a full shift
- No prior experience needed, but a plus if you've worked fry, salad, or expo stations before
