Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Foreman specializing in concrete construction to lead and manage onsite activities with energy and precision. This role is vital in ensuring that concrete projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a Foreman, you will oversee daily operations on construction sites, coordinate with teams, and ensure project milestones are met while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and project specifications. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all concrete-related activities on construction sites, including pouring, finishing, curing, and formwork installation.
- Lead a team of skilled workers, providing clear instructions, training, and support to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Monitor project progress against schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera; adjust plans as needed to stay on track.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations by conducting regular safety inspections and enforcing safety protocols.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs related to labor, materials, and equipment; collaborate with project managers on cost control measures.
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for adherence to specifications, schematics, and industry standards; utilize tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing when necessary.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely delivery of materials such as pipelines or other specialized components.
- Maintain detailed documentation of daily activities, incident reports, inspection logs, and project updates for accountability and transparency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising concrete construction projects with a strong understanding of heavy civil work including pipelines or similar infrastructure.
- Extensive construction site experience with a focus on concrete work; supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or HeavyBid for scheduling and project tracking.
- Knowledge of contracts, budgeting principles, and construction estimating processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with construction schematics is essential.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a safety-first environment.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures specific to concrete work environments.
- Technical skills including blueprint reading, use of ohmmeters for electrical testing, and understanding of construction estimating tools.
