About the Position
As an Equipment Setup & Service Technician, you’ll play an important role in making sure our customers receive their equipment ready to perform. You’ll assemble, service, inspect, and prepare a variety of equipment for customer delivery and demonstrations.
You’ll work alongside experienced technicians and our service leadership team, with opportunities to build your knowledge and develop your technical skills along the way.
Reports to: Service Lead and/or Location Manager
Supervises: None
What You’ll Do
- Assemble and service a variety of equipment, including Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products and other merchandise sold by the dealership
- Perform thorough pre-delivery inspections to ensure equipment is ready for our customers
- Prepare equipment for customer delivery and demonstration
- Safely operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment used during setup and delivery
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and professional
- Follow all company and manufacturer safety rules and procedures
- Complete required service reports, forms, and documentation
- Accurately track time and materials used on assigned work
- Participate in Service EDUCATE training and other learning opportunities to continue developing your skills
- Work with experienced service team members and seek guidance when needed
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys learning, and is ready to get their hands dirty. The ideal candidate has:
- The ability to safely operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery setup and delivery
- The ability to assemble machinery components and follow manufacturer pre-delivery instructions
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use Service Advisor
- A fundamental understanding of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, air-conditioning, and electrical systems
- The ability to read and understand schematics and equipment manuals
- The ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds
- A self-motivated, dependable, and hands-on approach to work
- A high school diploma or equivalent experience
- A valid driver’s license
- Forklift certification is preferred
