OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
In the effort to renew and coordinate a parish communication strategy in support of renewal, the prime task to be achieved is to tailor the general message about renewal into a compelling personal invitation for each person to enter the renewal. This task is what will make this effort vital, since such a tailoring process needs differentiation between parishes and within the various communities that form a single parish. It will also help pastors to better understand the diversity and complexity of their "audience" and discern the best ways to help each person hear the call of renewal on a personal level and respond.
It is a critically important and exciting challenge.
The Parish Communications Liaison is responsible for accompanying parish communication leaders in creating a narrative, casting a vision, and reaching the masses with tactics concretely anchored in the diocesan mission of renewal, the One. This role is where the rubber meets the road and travels the extra mile to ensure competencies of the renewal saturate each of the pilot parishes’s populations. This role will work directly with pastors and parish leaders to cultivate custom methods of communication that are distinct to the needs of each invidiual parish.
