The Black Gold are looking to immediately grow their family-like team of front office executives in preparation for the 2027 season, kicking-off in June…and for seasons to come. This full-time, year-round position will include professional training and reasonable onboarding to prepare you for the next step (or first step) in your pro sports career!
The ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER will be responsible for duties including to the following:
·Assisting ownership and its consultant in developing, and then taking responsibility for executing, an overall business plan for sales, operations, and clerical football elements.
· Managing an aggressive sales plan to be executed by all members of the team.
· Leading the daily operations of the team.
· Hiring and managing a small staff of office interns and/or part-time assistant employees.
· Overseeing several Directors of each of the team's departments to ensure the success in each category.
· Being a daily and year-round contributor to the team’s sales efforts in growing the team's season ticket base, group ticket attendees and earning new relationships with corporate partners.
· Work full-time (Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM) year-round in the team’s professional offices in Downtown Midland. Additional events such as home games, public appearances and more will also be required.
The position offers the following:
· Training and experience in the inner workings of operating a professional sports team.
· Resume building opportunity that may lead to advancements in the pro sports industry at higher levels.
· A base pay of $3,000+ per month.
· A high commission rate of 15% on all sales efforts
· Successful candidates should expect to earn between $50-80,000+ annually in total compensation.
· Perks such as game tickets, and a share in team meal and other perks.
