Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract position serving young children and their families across the vibrant communities of East Multnomah County. This opportunity focuses on providing speech and language support for children ages 3–5 in early childhood special education (ECSE) through a mix of home visits and community preschool placements. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current OR SLP license (required)
- ASHA CCCs preferred, but open to strong CFYs with relevant pediatric and/or school experience
- Experience or interest in early childhood speech and language development
- Familiarity with IEP processes for preschool-aged children
- Comfortable delivering services in both home and preschool settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to organize schedule for itinerant travel within designated team areas
- Commitment to inclusive, family-centered service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to children ages 3–5 in community preschools and family homes (no clinic work)
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and write appropriate IEP documentation using provided training and systems
- Engage in regular team meetings and collaborative planning sessions (admin/indirect time included in schedule)
- Communicate effectively with caregivers, preschool personnel, and other service providers
- Serve as an integral part of a supportive regional team within the Multnomah Early Childhood Program
