Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The overnight shift is significant to our operational success. The overnight Maintenance Technician performs machinery monitoring, maintenance and/or repairs on meat production equipment, refrigeration, boilers, and and general building equipment. During the overnight shift you will troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with machinery as needed. The overnight maintenance technicians assist the sanitation team with any issues or repairs during the shift, maintains and repairs facility equipment and building needs.

Essential Functions
- Assist night shift with shutdowns of production lines, preparing for sanitation shift.
- Prep, lube, and inspect production equipment for morning shift start-up.
- Make emergency mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs to keep equipment running.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance as required by machine manufacturer and facility to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist and conducts production and refrigeration equipment shutdown in correct sequence.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical components, ensuring minimal downtime of operations.
- Ensure proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in compliance with company standards through the CMMS.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Regular and reliable workplace attendance.
- Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery. Scissor lift, pallet jack, scaffolding, hand tools, power tools, air tools, oxyacetylene torch, welder, multimeter, soldering iron, measuring instruments, radios, pumps, motors, manuals, schematics, small parts.
Non-Essential Functions
- Assist in other areas of the department when needed.
- Assist in other areas of the Meat Plant when needed.
Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certificates
Required
- High School diploma or GED.
- 18 years of age.
- Food Safety Certification (Provided onsite).
- Hazard Communication and JHA (initial assignment), Costco Hazardous Materials DOT Training course: Part 1 (within 30 days and then every year), Hazmat Universal Waste Training-Short Version (within 30 days and then every year), Option STOP Training (within 30 days).
Recommended
- 3-5 years' mechanical experience preferred.
- Vocational or related military training.
- Knowledge and skills to read understand technical manuals.
- Knowledge and skills in the safe operation of tools and equipment used on the job.
