Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Roofing Licensed Adjuster to join our dynamic claims team. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of roofing damage claims, utilizing estimating software such as Xactimate and other industry-standard tools to determine repair costs accurately.
- Review property insurance policies to verify coverage, identify potential fraud, and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance in claims processing.
- Negotiate claim settlements with policyholders, contractors, and other stakeholders, balancing customer service excellence with sound claims adjudication practices.
- Analyze damage reports, photographs, and inspection data to assess liability and validate claim validity while detecting signs of fraud or misrepresentation.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, estimates, and recommendations for claim resolution while maintaining organized records for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with legal teams on complex cases involving workers' compensation law or casualty insurance disputes to ensure proper claim handling.
- Stay current on insurance law, regulations, and industry best practices related to liability and casualty insurance claims processing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property insurance claims adjusting, with a focus on casualty or liability insurance claims processing.
- Strong knowledge of insurance law, workers’ compensation law, and regulatory compliance in claims handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and specialized estimating software such as Xactimate; experience with financial software is a plus.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with organizational abilities to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with a customer service-oriented approach to client communication.
- Familiarity with fraud prevention and detection techniques within the insurance industry.
- Ability to interpret complex policy language and legal documentation accurately.
