Total Electric, a family-owned and operated business in Charleston SC, is looking for a professional and experienced service electrician to join our growing team!
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on residential generators.
- Make emergency repairs to electrical apparatus.
- Locate and correct power failures and short circuits.
- Repair electrical motors, lighting and lighting circuits, appliances, generators, etc.
- Read blueprints and install conduits, wire mold, wiring and lighting systems, control panels, pulling wire, and installing other electrical equipment in residential homes.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience.
- Knowledge of generator system repair and maintenance.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems.
- Skilled in reading blueprints and specification sheets.
- Must have basic hand tools necessary for the trade.
- Ability to cover a large service area: Charleston, Beaufort, Hilton Head, and Daufuskie Island.
- Ability to be on-call for after-hours and weekend emergency jobs.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Background check required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and personality.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
