Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Administrative Assistant at Bellevue Heights United Methodist Church, Syracuse, NY. This is a part-time position to handle office tasks, manage church records, manage church website, prepare PowerPoint for Sunday worship service, generate documents for church activities, and communicate with both staff and congregation. We are looking for an individual who is organized, self-motivated, dependable and able to use Microsoft Office with great communication abilities. Responsibilities
- Handle front desk duties including greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and directing calls with excellent phone etiquette
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using productivity software such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Maintain organized filing systems, both digital and physical, for easy retrieval of documents and records
- Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, meetings, and coordinating events efficiently
- Support bookkeeping activities using software to track expenses and invoices
- Provide general office management support by overseeing supply inventory, preparing correspondence, proofreading documents, and supporting team members as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and data entry tools
- Experience with bookkeeping software is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills
- High School Degree/GED
- Strong Faith
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
