EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the daily operations of Norristown State Hospital by providing skilled maintenance and repair services across many systems. As an Electrician 1, you will perform the following duties:

Equipment Maintenance: Perform repairs and upkeep on laundry machinery and other electrical equipment throughout the hospital

Fire System Care: Service fire alarm components to ensure safe and reliable operation

Electrical Repairs: Maintain wiring, fixtures, switches, and related systems across multiple hospital buildings

Vehicle and Tool Work: Service battery powered trucks and provide personal trade tools for daily tasks

Asbestos Program Duties: Carry out approved removal and encapsulation tasks while following safety standards and training requirements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
