Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and safety issues using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles in top condition.
- Execute detailed auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and painting to restore vehicles to their original condition.
- Carry out certified safety inspections on various vehicle types, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Assist with auto restoration projects by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicle components with precision.
- Use heavy lifting techniques safely to handle engines, transmissions, and other heavy parts during repairs or replacements.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair findings clearly to customers or team members for transparency.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong foundation in automotive repair and vehicle maintenance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive service procedures and safety inspection protocols.
- Familiarity with automotive repair tools including hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Experience in auto body repair or auto restoration is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various repair tasks.
- Prior certification as a safety inspector or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
