Duties
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, with precision and care.
- Handle laundry materials safely, including textiles, linens, uniforms, and specialty items, following all safety protocols.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry loads efficiently using push carts or other materials handling tools.
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly using laundry detergents and cleaning agents while adhering to safety standards in production.
- Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of laundry carts or bulky items to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure garments and textiles are cleaned to quality standards without damage.
- Assist with customer service by responding promptly to laundry requests from staff or guests when applicable.
Experience
- Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of textile cleaning techniques including laundry washing, dry cleaning, and garment care machine operation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to materials handling and sanitation practices in a production environment.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing laundry loads accurately.
- Ability to follow safety protocol adherence consistently while working with industrial dryers and cleaning chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail in garment care and sanitation processes to ensure high-quality results.
- Excellent work ethic with a proactive attitude towards teamwork and customer service in a fast-paced setting.
