Summary
Primary responsibilities include member relations and satisfaction. Knowledge of Golf Shop merchandise and vendors to provide overall support to the Golf Shop sales objective. Candidate must be able to answer member inquiries, answer phone calls, assist in sales and overall customer satisfaction.
Description
· Work directly with Head Golf Professional, Buyer and Staff in executing day-to-day operations.
· Assist Buyer with maintaining inventory levels and corroborating availability of merchandise.
· Assist Buyer in executing and maintaining visual presentations and pricing strategies.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Duties
· Assist members and guests by facilitating sales in the Golf Shop and providing the utmost customer service.
· Must take initiative to ensure workspace and Golf shop are well maintained, clean, organized and restocked throughout each workday.
· Assist and make certain opening and closing procedures are executed correctly each day.
· Maintain special orders and returns.
· Answer phones and appropriately troubleshoot questions from members and guests.
· Initiate the restocking of merchandise and conduct inventories when applicable.
Qualifications, education and/or experience
· While preforming the duties of this job, candidates must be comfortable standing long periods of time and able to lift items weighing over 20 lbs.
· Proper etiquette and appearance must always be displayed.
· Candidate must be able to hear and speak clearly. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable any candidate with disabilities to perform job functions.
· Previous retail experience a plus.
· Proficient in computer skills including, Excel, Word and Jonas Club Software.
Hours/Days
· This is a seasonal position from May to December.
· Full Time and Part Time positions available. Shop hours are from 7:00a to 7:00p.
· Work weeks will include at least one weekend day. Hours are subject to change based on the fluctuation of events throughout the golf season.
· Must be able to work during any special events and holidays.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
