Job Overview
Metro Eye Care, a division of Eye Centers of America, is a multi-specialty ophthalmology and optometry practice with 4 offices across Bergen County. With 9 ophthalmologists and 2 optometrists, our growing practice is looking to hire 2 office managers, one for our Paramus office and one for our Fort Lee Office.
The clinic manager position plays a critical role for any practice; responsible for all activities related to the daily operations of the clinic. This position supports a wide range of functions; from providing front line responses to patients, staff and providers, to oversight of practice procedures and workflow, to everything in between. We are looking for a dedicated and kindhearted person to take on this immense responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Manage, triage and maintain daily operations and workflow of the office.
- Supervise, support and act as primary contact for staff and providers.
- Maintain proper scheduling and over see patient, provider and staff schedules.
- Address patient questions and feedback
- Implement, maintain and oversee current and new office policies and procedures.
- Oversee and evaluate staff- recommend who may need additional training
- Assit in the recruitment, onboarding and performance evaluation of staff to build and maintain a high performing team.
- Fill in gaps in staffing as necessary.
- Maintain all office inventory - clinical and administrative.
- Constant communication with driectors/managers regarding ongoings of the office, including patient/provider/staff issues, schedule changes, equipment repairs, etc.
- Represent our practice in a professional manner and demonstrate exemplary customer service.
- Ensure a professional work culture; always demonstrate respect and kindness for all.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and/or five (5) plus years of proven, direct management experience.
- Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with leadership, team members and providers.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Proficient on computer and office software, Nextech and Athena preferred
- Ability to perform both tech and front office tasks. (Training maybe provided for the right candidate).
- Knowledge of ophthalmology billing and coding preferred.
- Understand all responsibilities and obligations of a medical office manager.
- Understand time requirements (40+ hours) to fulfill responsibilities, including occasional weekends if needed.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
