Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the automotive service center, including scheduling, workflow, and quality control to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of mechanics, technicians, and service advisors to ensure high performance standards
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, suspension work, transmissions, shocks & struts
- Implement upselling strategies by identifying additional services that meet customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity
- Ensure accurate auto estimating and service writing to provide clear communication with customers about repair costs and timelines
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure all technicians adhere to industry regulations and best practices
- Handle cash transactions responsibly while managing the overall financial performance of the center
- Foster excellent customer relationships through proactive communication, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
Experience
- Proven experience managing an automotive service or repair center with a strong background in auto service management
- Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts
- Dealership experience or prior automotive sales background is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to educate customers effectively while maintaining trust and transparency
- Experience in auto service sales is a plus
- Ability to drive safely at all times while demonstrating mechanical knowledge across various vehicle types
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in service writing and documentation
