CT/XRAY Technologist
Job Summary
This position involves working 12-hour shifts, 1-2 shifts a week, on a rotational or fixed schedule. The CT/RAD Tech will provide X-RAY and CT imaging services for patients at this facility. The role includes patients care and the technical performance of diagnostic computed tomography (CT) examinations for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
Responsibilities:
· Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns.
· Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by departmental procedures.
· Perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
· Conduct procedures including, but not limited to, patient care and handling, quality control procedures, and all X-ray and CT-assisted procedures and reconstructions.
· Ensure images are of diagnostic and technical quality.
· Apply principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle.
· Assist in the diagnostic radiography department.
· Assist other staff as needed for patient care.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Work 12-hour shifts
· Work in a lab as required.
Job Requirements:
· 1-year Radiology experience.
· 1-year CT scan experience preferred, but not required.
