Job Summary
Equitable Builds LLC is hiring a Carpenter / Skilled Laborer to work directly under our lead carpenters on residential renovation projects.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow in the trades, work hard, and be part of a team that produces high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead carpenter with daily job site tasks
- Perform demolition, material handling, and job site prep
- Assist with framing, trim, drywall, flooring, and cabinet installs
- Cut, measure, and install materials with accuracy
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Follow project scopes, plans, and direction from leadership
Work Environment & Expectations
- Work in attics, roofs, crawlspaces, and unfinished areas
- Must be comfortable with heights
- Must be willing to get dirty and work in physically demanding conditions
- Some days are long and labor-intensive
- We work until the job is done right
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of construction or carpentry experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of tools (tape measure, saws, drills, levels)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic and ability to take direction
Preferred Skills
- Trim carpentry
- Cabinet installation
- Flooring (LVP, tile prep)
- Drywall hanging and patching
