Delta Arsenal is a proudly veteran-owned and operated business located in the heart of Wallingford, Connecticut. As Connecticut's premier firearms dealer and training center, we offer two indoor public ranges, two indoor private ranges, CT pistol permit, group and private firearms training for all skill levels, firearm sales, a full retail shop, gunsmithing services, FFL services, and an online retail store. We are out front defending our 2nd Amendment rights and serving our local community — and we're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility running at its best.
Job Overview
We're looking for a self-starting, independent Maintenance Technician to handle the day-to-day upkeep of our indoor shooting ranges and facility. This role is best suited to a capable handyman who thrives with autonomy — someone who doesn't need to be micromanaged and takes pride in figuring out the best way to get the job done. If you're reliable, resourceful, and comfortable wearing multiple hats, we want to hear from you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform daily and routine range maintenance to keep facilities safe and fully operational
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues as they arise
- Monitor, maintain, and service ventilation systems to ensure proper air quality standards
- Perform light welding as needed for repairs and fabrication
- Handle basic electrical, plumbing, and finish carpentry/repair work
- Conduct general building and equipment upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Identify potential issues before they become larger problems and proactively address them
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Work independently to prioritize and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or similar hands-on role
- Working knowledge of light welding, basic electrical, and plumbing repair
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and tasks independently
- Excellent communication skills and reliability
- Must be able to pass a background check
- CT pistol permit holder strongly recommended
- Comfortable working in and around a firearms range environment
Work Environment
- This position requires working in full PPE (personal protective equipment) at times to prevent lead exposure/contamination
- Physical role requiring the ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work with tools and equipment throughout the day
- Indoor facility setting

Compensation
$20.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on experience
