We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Community Access Specialist to serve as a vital connector within diverse communities. In this role, you will empower individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other social service needs by providing tailored support, fostering independence, and promoting community integration. Duties
- Develop personalized plans for clients that address their unique needs related to disabilities, employment, and social integration
- Assist clients in navigating employment and workforce development programs, including coaching and mentoring to build skills and confidence
- Conduct client interviews and assessments to determine eligibility for services and identify goals
- Provide ongoing case management by documenting progress, updating plans, and coordinating with community partners
- Facilitate training sessions on topics such as disability rights, workplace accommodations, and social skills
- Support clients in developing communication strategies using tools like Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting purposes
- Engage with culturally diverse communities through outreach efforts, ensuring services are accessible and respectful of different backgrounds
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in social services or related fields
- Knowledge of employment law, labor regulations, and workforce development policies applicable to underserved communities
- Background in addiction teaching or coaching that enhances client support strategies
- Strong writing skills for case notes, reports, and client communication documentation
- Experience conducting interviews, mentoring clients, recruiting participants for programs, and delivering training or development sessions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for case management and documentation purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations and underserved communities while maintaining sensitivity and professionalism

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
