Job Summary:
The Hand Solderer II is a mid-level role responsible for performing a variety of soldering operations on PCBAs, including both SMT and thru-hole components, with minimal supervision. This role requires demonstrated soldering skills, the ability to troubleshoot basic issues, and consistent delivery of high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform soldering of SMT and thru-hole components at IPC Class 2 standards with minimal supervision.

Support PCBA assembly, rework, and troubleshooting of moderate complexity.

Conduct inspections, identify defects, and correct issues independently.

Maintain production records, quality logs, and ensure adherence to build documentation.

Assist Hand Solderer I team members with guidance and informal training.

Participate in rework processes, including hot air soldering and minor BGA rework.

Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.

Escalate issues to senior solderers or supervisors for troubleshooting when needed.

Follow all ESD, safety, and company quality procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2–4 years of hand soldering experience, including SMT and thru-hole.

Ability to read and interpret PCBA documentation and mechanical drawings.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 Certification strongly preferred.
