American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of RN experience and AHA-issued certifications including BLS and PALS.

Work setting is a hospital-based Pediatric ICU (PICU)

Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

13-week contract

CVICU and NICU experience is preferred

Level 1 trauma experience is required

Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current eNLC compact license)

Current BLS and PALS certifications — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Level 1 experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic documentation

Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating with physicians and support staff

Involves patient and family education regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning

Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (prior contracts may have been extended once for a total of 26 weeks)

Compliance requirements (drug screening, background checks, and medical documentation) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
