Superintendent
We are seeking a seasoned Superintendent to oversee multiple active jobsites simultaneously — driving schedule, quality, and safety across a portfolio of complex projects while developing the field talent that becomes Rise’s next generation of leaders.
1. ABOUT US
RISE Construction is a national contractor built on a simple but rare belief — the best projects happen when your contractor thinks like a partner, not a vendor.
We specialize in complex projects that demand more than a standard playbook. We’ve converted failing restaurants into housing, brought buildings back to life that communities had written off, and saved clients serious money before a single nail was driven — because we know how to look at a property the way an owner does. That’s not a metaphor. Our team has deep roots in real estate ownership, and that perspective changes everything about how we approach a project.
We’re not a company that just executes. We think strategically, we get creative, and we’re honest with our clients about where the real leverage is.
The people we want on this team are sharp and curious. Someone who raises the room and is allergic to mediocrity. If you own your work, solve problems nobody handed you a playbook for, and want to keep growing long after most people would call it good enough — you’ll fit right in here.
2. WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Rise is growing fast, and growth at our scale means more projects running concurrently across more project types. We need a Superintendent who can hold the standard across multiple jobsites at once — making sure every crew is moving, every schedule is honest, and every project finishes the way we promised. This role exists because our field operation has outgrown what any one person can carry alone. We need someone who can see the whole portfolio, keep it on track, and develop the field leaders we’ll need as we keep scaling.
3. THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a senior field leadership role with real ownership and real visibility. You won’t be sitting in an office — you’ll be moving between jobsites, working directly with crews, subs, and ownership to keep projects on track. The work you do shapes how Rise delivers, and the people you develop today become the foundation of how we grow tomorrow.
What that looks like in practice:
- You’ll oversee 4–8 active jobsites at any given time, ranging from multi-family renovations to commercial tenant improvements to ground-up and adaptive reuse projects
- You’ll report directly to leadership and have full authority over field execution across your portfolio
- You’ll mentor and develop our crews — identifying and building up the people who will become Rise’s future field leaders
- No two days look the same — you’ll move between project types, problem-sets, and crews, and your judgment will shape outcomes across the company
4. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversee multiple active jobsites simultaneously — setting the pace, holding the standard, and making sure every project is moving on schedule
- Build and maintain master schedules for each project — identify risks early and adjust before they become delays
- Lead, mentor, and develop our crews — raising their skill, ownership, and judgment so we can grow the next layer of field leadership from within
- Coordinate self-perform crews and subcontractors across trades — manage sequencing, manpower, and material flow
- Conduct quality control walks at every major milestone — own punch list completion and final walkthroughs
- Manage subcontractor performance — hold them accountable to schedule, quality, and the Rise standard
- Partner with leadership on budget, change orders, and field decisions that affect cost or schedule
- Maintain clean, safe, organized jobsites across your portfolio; enforce safety standards without exception
- Communicate clearly and proactively with ownership, tenants, building occupants, and clients — especially on occupied or active-use projects
- Report field conditions, progress, and issues up to leadership weekly; no one should ever be surprised by what’s happening on your sites
- Represent Rise professionally with clients, subs, inspectors, and the public — our reputation is built one project at a time
5. THE MINDSET REQUIRED
- Owns the Outcome: You don’t run jobsites — you run a portfolio. When something goes sideways on any project, it’s your problem to solve
- Organized & Multi-Threaded: You can run multiple projects at once without anything slipping — because you know what’s happening on each site and you keep it documented so the rest of the team can see it too
- Develops People: You make the crews around you better. You see potential in people before they see it in themselves, and you build them up
- Strategic: You see beyond today’s task list. You understand how sequencing, subs, and decisions today affect the project six weeks out
- Steady Under Pressure: Multiple jobsites means multiple problems on any given day. You don’t rattle — you triage
- Honest: With your crews, with leadership, with clients. You tell people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear
- Takes Pride in the Work: You care how every project looks when it’s done — across the whole portfolio
6. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years of experience in construction, with at least 1 year as a Superintendent or senior field leader running multiple jobsites
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying scope and complexity
- Strong command of construction drawings, specs, and sequencing across multiple trades
- A track record of developing field talent — identifying potential in your crews and building them into stronger tradespeople and leaders
- Working knowledge of scheduling tools and ability to build and maintain a master schedule
- Valid driver’s license — you’ll be moving between jobsites daily
- Spanish language proficiency — a significant portion of our crew and subcontractor network communicates primarily in Spanish, and the ability to work with them directly makes you a more effective leader on our jobsites
- Strong communication skills with crews, subs, leadership, and clients
- Experience in renovation, adaptive reuse, or occupied-building environments — you know how to work clean, work safe, and minimize disruption
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with mixed-use, multi-family, and ground-up project types
- Background in self-perform trades (concrete, framing, carpentry, flooring) — a strong understanding of what our crews are doing in the field
We care more about how you think and how you work than what your resume looks like on paper. If this role sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
7. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base Pay: $120,000 – $175,000 [dependent on experience]
- Flexible Time Off: At Rise, we operate on a flexible time-off model built on mutual trust. As long as your targets are on track and your teammates and clients are supported, you have the flexibility to take time off as needed.
- Paid Holidays: Rise observes seven paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (and the Friday after), and Christmas Day.
- Growth: As Rise scales, this role scales with it — compensation and title will reflect your impact
