Hours:
- Weekdays from 2:30-7:15pm - flexible availability
- Weekends - open availability
- Will work 15-20 hours per week
JOB DESCRIPTION
Made in Kansas City is looking for a Part-time Sales Associate for our Prairiefire shop. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, as they will be the face of the company and of the 200+ brands and makers we represent. A successful Sales Associate will take responsibility for maintaining a clean and stocked sales floor and assist with various auxiliary projects. This position requires a willingness to learn about dozens of brands and hundreds of products that we carry, have an interest in Kansas City’s creative community, and be familiar with the retail industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offer excellent customer service
- Facilitate transactions and returns through the Point of Sale system
- Answer phones
- Restock merchandise
- Ensure all products on the sales floor are organized and apparel is tidy and folded
- Answer customer questions about products and brands sold in shops
- Maintain a clean sales floor
- Perform auxiliary tasks when needed
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Minimum 1-year customer service experience, retail preferred
- Excellent communication skills with managers and customer
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Must have weekend and evening availability
