Position Overview
Equilibrium is seeking a Finance & Operations Associate to play a key role in supporting financial planning & analysis, and asset exit transactions across a diverse set of real asset and private equity investments, with an emphasis on providing financial insights to drive decisions and performance. The position will work closely with internal leadership, operating partners, tenants, and external advisors and contribute meaningfully to investment realizations (exits), ongoing portfolio optimization, asset management, and investor reporting. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, organizational and task management skills, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance & Operations Associate will be a crucial member of the team and responsibilities may include:
Portfolio Company Oversight & Asset Management

Support active monitoring of performance of portfolio investments

Lead budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and variance analysis for portfolio investments to support informed decision-making

Track asset and investment reporting and compliance obligations, such as debt covenants, filing deadlines, etc.

Partner with operating partners, JV partners, and portfolio company leadership to drive operational and financial performance improvements

Develop and maintain financial reporting tools, dashboards, and performance management processes that generate actionable insights for leadership and investment decision-making

Proactively identify risks, issues, and opportunities across the portfolio and recommend practical solutions
Real Estate Oversight

Actively manage real estate assets, including tenant engagement, lease oversight, property manager coordination, and property-level performance monitoring

Serve as a key point of contact for tenants, property managers, operators, and other asset-level stakeholders

Monitor leasing activity, operating metrics, capital projects, and capital improvement opportunities to support asset performance objectives
Portfolio Strategy, Divestments & Value Realization

Support and, where appropriate, lead portfolio divestment workstreams, transaction support, diligence, coordination , and transaction execution

Manage due diligence processes for company and real estate sales, including diligence request lists, data rooms, asset-level materials, financial analyses, reporting packages, and advisor coordination

Coordinate with investment banks, legal counsel, technical advisors, operating partners, and counterparties throughout sale, financing, and strategic transaction processes

Assist with transaction structuring, including debt financing, partnership arrangements, recapitalizations, and other value realization initiatives

Support valuation processes, fund-level analysis, investor reporting, and preparation of quarterly and annual asset-level updates
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field required;

3–5 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, portfolio operations, or asset management; experience in agribusiness or private equity preferred

Experience working with real assets or real estate portfolios, including tenant, operator, property manager, lease, capital project, or development-related workstreams

Experience supporting or coordinating transaction, divestment, or exit processes, including due diligence, financial modeling, data room management, and advisor coordination.
Technical & Analytical Skills

Strong financial modeling, valuation, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting capabilities

Experience reviewing legal, financial, and technical transaction documentation and key investment terms

Experience preparing and reviewing investment memoranda, reporting materials, and investor presentations
-
Ability to synthesize operational and financial data into clear insights, dashboards, reporting packages, and recommendations that support decision-making
Execution & Operating Mindset

Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently with strong attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to identify risks, issues, and opportunities and drive practical, operationally grounded solutions

Familiarity with project finance, infrastructure, or real assets preferred

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation:

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
