About the Role
INTECON is seeking a Senior Data Science Consultant to support the U.S. Air Force A33B Mission Assurance Construct Support (MACS) program by delivering advanced analytics, data modeling, visualization, and decision-support products that enable mission analysis, assessment, and risk management activities across the Air Force enterprise within a Pentagon SCIF environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced analytical and data workflow support to Mission Analysis, Assessment Support, and Risk Management activities, including data preparation, transformation, modeling, and visualization
- Respond rapidly to ad hoc and recurring Mission Assurance analytical requests from AF/A33B, DAF stakeholders, MAJCOM Mission Assurance representatives, and DoD stakeholders, including time-sensitive senior leader taskings
- Build and sustain Mission Assurance dashboards, monitoring views, and decision-support products within Government-directed enterprise data platforms such as Palantir Foundry (Contour, Quiver, Workshop)
- Implement analytical automation to reduce manual data handling and improve timeliness and consistency of Mission Assurance products
- Apply advanced analytics, including artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, to assessment data exploitation and course of action (COA) analysis as directed
- Act as a steward of Mission Assurance data products, analytical models, and workflows, supporting data quality checks, validation, and consistency reviews
- Support documentation of data models, workflows, analytical methods, and data governance practices, and provide training and knowledge transfer to Government and contractor users
- Support scaling of Mission Assurance data products across the enterprise, working on high-visibility, mission-critical program efforts and providing oversight to less senior data staff as required
- Obtain the Palantir Foundry Application Developer Certification within 90 calendar days of contract award and retain the certification for the duration of the contract (contract requirement per PWS Paragraph 5.5.1)
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with caveats. U.S. Citizenship required.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (M.A. or M.S.) from an accredited institution (any field/major)
- More than 10 years of professional work experience
- Ability and commitment to obtain the Palantir Foundry Application Developer Certification within 90 calendar days after contract award and maintain it for the duration of the contract
- Demonstrated experience supporting analytical workflow enablement, sustainment, and scaling of data products across an enterprise
- Proficiency utilizing enterprise data platform capabilities to support analytics, automation, and decision-making
- Experience supporting configuration and use of Government-directed data platform capabilities to enable data analysis, monitoring, reporting, and automation
- Proven ability to perform all functional duties independently and support high-visibility, mission-critical program efforts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including briefing analytical findings to senior leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Palantir Foundry Application Developer or Data Engineer Certification
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques to defense, intelligence, or infrastructure risk analysis
- Experience supporting DoD or Air Force Mission Assurance, critical infrastructure protection, or risk management programs
- Familiarity with DoDI 3020.45 and Air Force Mission Assurance data and governance frameworks
- Prior experience working in SCIF environments and supporting HAF or MAJCOM-level staffs
