Job Overview
We have an immediate need for a part-time Sales Associate to join our team at The UPS Store in Somers, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our UPS Store customers while driving sales and maintaining a well-organized store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enjoy working with customers, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced store setting. The UPS Store provides a broad range of services including shipping, packing. printing, returns, notary, faxing, scanning, shredding and mailboxes. Successful candidates will be capable of helping customers with all services.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to provide outstanding service
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently
- Package boxes for shipping and returns
- Perform stocking duties to maintain inventory levels
- Upsell and cross-sell UPS Store products by recommending complementary items that enhance the customer’s experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
Experience
- Familiarity with cashiering duties
- Strong communication and customer management skills to interact positively with customers and team members alike.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced retail sales environment is a plus
Pay: From $17.25 per hour
