The Medical Assistant will present with a strong work ethic in both the understanding to sensitivity of information and attention to detail. The Medical Assistant will promote professionalism and a positive role model for the company work environment.

Prepare equipment, examination rooms and assist physicians throughout the patient visit

Taking and recording vital signs, height and weight, Collect and record urine sample

Reconcile patient’s medication lists, ensure most recent mail order and local pharmacy recorded in chart

Maintain patient medical records, charts prepared 48 hours prior to each clinic, patients called two days prior to appointment

Maintain certification, continuing education, ie: CPR

Take lab order calls, critical lab order calls, record in patient’s chart, notify physician, per POD assignment daily

Comply with and understand OSHA regulations (closed container beverages, proper shoes, etc.)

Use interpersonal skills effectively to build and maintain patient, team and physician relationships

Maintain professional appearance (any tattoo’s or piercing’s covered/taken out per policy), hair pulled back, proper coordinating of uniform schematics

Travel per practice needs (2-3 times per week or as needed)

Willingness to adapt to changes in the workplace

Available and flexible to work normal operation hours, including late clinics as needed

Flexible with short notice; change of scheduled/assigned physician or clinic location

Maintain safe environment for patients, team members and physicians
Qualifications and Education Requirements2 plus years of patient care experience ie: medical assistant or certified nursing assistant
Exceptional communication skills and team oriented
Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and HER
Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
