Job Summary:
The Lead- Quality Assurance (QA) Auditor is a working team leader responsible for executing core
incoming inspection duties while coordinating daily shop-floor IQC operations across facility locations.
This position serves as a key operational bridge between line inspectors, warehousing/receiving, and
Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE).
The Lead ensures raw materials, sub-assemblies, and components meet quality standards by conducting
complex SAP material transactions, creating inspection records, enforcing Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs), and providing technical oversight on Damaged-on-Arrival (DOA) shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Shop-Floor Coordination - Operational Execution & Leadership, Process Enforcement, Training & Mentorship, Attendance & Scheduling, Shift Meetings
- SAP Systems & Material Transaction Management - Inspection Lot Retrieval, Material Stock Disposition, Special Process Handling
- Inspection Documentation & Escalation - Inspection Form Generation, SIP Review & Escalation, Operational Escalation, Record Retention
- Damaged-On-Arrival (DOA) & Non-Conformance Management - DOA Inspection & Verification, Evidence Collection, DOA Log Maintenance
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in incoming quality control (IQC), quality auditing, or manufacturing quality.
- Leadership Experience: Prior experience in a Lead, Senior Auditor, or Trainer capacity preferred.
- Systems Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with SAP Quality Management (QM) module or similar ERP shop-floor systems.
- Technical Inspection Literacy: Basic understanding of electronics, server hardware, electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical drawings.
- Must be able to stand and walk on the manufacturing/warehouse floor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle electronic components and material totes weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Visual acuity to perform visual and cosmetic defect inspections (e.g., surface scratches, solder quality, mechanical alignment).
- Flexibility to support overtime, weekend shifts, or multi-building coverage based on operational expansion needs.
