Welder • Machinist • Road Mechanic
Schedule
- Full-time
- Day Shift
- Monday–Friday
- Frequent overtime opportunities available
- Rotating after-hours and emergency service opportunities available
Pay
$25.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus plenty of overtime opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Respond to roadside service calls for heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field
- Perform emergency repairs to get customers back on the road safely
- Complete preventive maintenance and minor repairs at customer locations
- Perform specialized welding and machining repairs on heavy-duty truck and trailer axles
- Communicate professionally with customers while representing Jack's Repair Service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service truck
- Work independently while receiving support from our experienced shop team
What We're Looking For
- Experience working on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks is preferred
- Welding or machining experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound repair decisions
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
- Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused
- Willingness to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation
