Part-Time Vending Route & Inventory Associate
Hone Vending — San Francisco Bay Area
$22–$26/hour, depending on experience + per-machine stocking pay
About Hone Vending
Hone Vending is a growing vending and workplace refreshment business serving offices, residential buildings, and commercial locations across the Bay Area.
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to help keep our machines clean, stocked, organized, and operating well. This is an important role in a small but growing business. The right person will have the opportunity to grow with the company as we add more locations, expand routes, and build out our operations team.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in doing things correctly, communicates well, and wants to learn how a route-based vending business operates.
Position type
This is a part-time W-2 employee position. The selected candidate will complete standard new-hire paperwork, including Form I-9 employment eligibility verification.
Expected starting schedule is approximately 8–15 hours per week, with additional hours available as the business grows.
Compensation
- $22–$26 per hour, depending on experience.
- Additional per-machine stocking pay for each completed machine service.
- Approved tolls and parking reimbursed.
- Paid training.
- Opportunity for increased hours, expanded responsibility, and higher compensation as the route grows.
Responsibilities
The Vending Route & Inventory Associate will be responsible for stocking and maintaining Hone Vending locations while representing the business professionally.
Route stocking and machine service
- Pick products from the storage unit based on the route restocking list.
- Load snacks, drinks, and supplies safely into your vehicle.
- Travel to assigned vending locations during approved service windows.
- Restock vending machines, smart coolers, shelves, or markets according to the approved layout.
- Rotate products so older items sell first.
- Remove expired, damaged, or poor-looking products.
- Wipe down machines, shelves, screens, handles, and surrounding areas.
- Take required completion photos after each service.
- Report low inventory, machine issues, payment issues, customer concerns, or access problems.
- Keep machines looking full, clean, and professional.
Inventory and storage unit support
- Receive scheduled product deliveries at the storage unit.
- Compare deliveries against packing slips or order records.
- Report missing, damaged, or incorrect items quickly.
- Put products into the correct labeled storage areas.
- Keep the storage unit clean, organized, and route-ready.
- Help maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Notify the owner when products are running low or when something looks off.
Customer and location support
- Communicate respectfully with building managers, office staff, residents, customers, and delivery drivers.
- Act as a positive representative of Hone Vending while on-site.
- Listen for customer feedback, product requests, and service concerns.
- Escalate problems quickly instead of letting them sit.
- Help identify ways to improve the route, the product mix, and the customer experience.
