CNC Operator
*Job Summary:*
As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating machines according to specifications. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate CNC machinery based on work instructions and engineering specifications.
- Perform tool changes, fixture installation, and alignment to ensure proper setup.
Quality Control:
- Inspect first-run parts and conduct in-process quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Make adjustments to maintain specifications and resolve any deviations.
Program Adjustments:
- Load and modify CNC programs as necessary to optimize machining operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine errors or malfunctions.
Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn tools.
- Notify maintenance personnel of any mechanical issues requiring advanced repairs.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Complete production logs, inspection records, and other necessary documentation accurately.
- Report production issues or quality concerns to supervisors.
