Position Summary:
The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing wine tastings, sharing knowledge about the winery’s offerings, and promoting wine sales. This role requires a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming and memorable environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and provide a high level of personalized customer service

Lead engaging and informative wine tastings, describing flavor profiles, vineyard practices, and winemaking techniques

Educate guests on wine selections, club memberships, and current promotions

Drive retail sales of wine, merchandise, and wine club sign-ups

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, bar, and service areas

Process transactions accurately using POS systems

Assist with opening and closing procedures

Support special events, private tastings, and winery functions as needed

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor settings, depending on winery layout

Weekend, holiday, and flexible scheduling required

Previous hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred

Passion for wine and willingness to learn (formal wine education a plus)

Must be at least 21 years of age (or per local regulations)

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Certifications (Preferred/Required):
