River Valley Marine is hiring an experienced Marine Parts & Service Advisor to join our award-winning dealership in Red Wing, Minnesota.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both customer service and the technical side of boating. You'll work alongside experienced Parts and Service team members while helping customers with repairs, maintenance, marine parts, accessories, seasonal service, and everything that keeps them enjoying life on the water.
Whether your experience comes from the marine industry, automotive, RV, powersports, heavy equipment, agriculture, or another dealership environment, we're looking for someone with strong customer service experience, dealership knowledge, and a genuine passion for boating.

Compensation
Base Salary + Commission
- Annual Earnings: $55,000-$80,000+
- Approximately $26-$38+/hour equivalent

What You'll Do
Service Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, winterization, storage, commissioning, and seasonal service
- Write accurate repair orders and service estimates
- Schedule service work and coordinate technician workflow
- Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and service updates
- Assist with warranty administration and service documentation
- Follow up after service to ensure an exceptional customer experience
Parts Responsibilities
- Assist customers in identifying the correct marine parts, accessories, and replacement components
- Recommend products and accessories that enhance the boating experience
- Support technicians by coordinating parts requests and special orders
- Receive, stock, organize, and maintain inventory
- Process customer orders, returns, and warranty parts
- Help maintain an organized and professional parts department
Shared Responsibilities
- Build lasting relationships with customers and fellow boating enthusiasts
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from start to finish
- Utilize Lightspeed EVO and dealership software to document customer interactions
- Work closely with experienced Parts and Service team members to support daily operations
- Support dealership goals related to customer satisfaction, efficiency, profitability, and teamwork
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and customer-focused culture
What We're Looking For
- Genuine passion for boating, fishing, watersports, or lake life
- Previous experience in a dealership parts or service environment is required
- Experience in marine, automotive, RV, powersports, agriculture, heavy equipment, or a related industry
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to explain technical information in a way customers understand
- Comfortable recommending repairs, maintenance, parts, accessories, and seasonal services
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Positive attitude and willingness to work across both Parts and Service departments
- Comfortable using dealership software and computer systems
- Valid driver's license required

Schedule
- Full-time, year-round employment
- Monday-Friday
- Typical hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Additional hours may be required during our busy spring commissioning ("spring run-up") and fall winterization seasons to support customer demand
