Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily operations, support staff development, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will help drive sales, manage inventory, and uphold our standards of quality and efficiency across the store.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and cash handling
- Supervise team members, providing training and development to foster a high-performing workforce
- Oversee employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting efforts to build a strong team
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, POS systems, and store policies
- Support merchandising, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage shift schedules, monitor retail math metrics, and handle customer service inquiries with professionalism
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and facilitate ongoing training programs
Experience
- Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within retail or food service environments
- Strong management skills with experience in team leadership and store operations
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling
- Knowledge of retail math, sales management techniques, and merchandising strategies
- Experience with POS systems, purchasing procedures, and stock management
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
