Job Description
Sakana, a Japanese All You Can Eat (AYCE) and à la carte sushi restaurant, we are seeking Hosts/Hostesses to join our opening team.
As the first point of contact, you will create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, manage seating, and support smooth front-of-house operations. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting restaurant launch and grow with a fast-expanding brand.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage reservations and walk-in seating flow
- Answer phones and assist with takeout inquiries if needed
- Communicate wait times and manage guest expectations
- Coordinate with Servers and Bussers to ensure smooth table turnover
- Guide guests through restaurant policies (e.g., AYCE rules, service style)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and entry area
- Provide support to the front-of-house team as needed
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess or customer service experience preferred (training available)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic English proficiency (additional languages a plus)
