We are currently looking for an Assistant Teacher to help complete our amazing team! We are looking for a teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our center. You will teach and supervise them while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination. All qualified candidates will be contacted to come in for an interview. Pay is based on experience and education. On-site training provided to qualified individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and nap times
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Support children’s emotional and social development, encouraging positive behavior and independence
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Assist with preparing materials and setting up learning centers
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children’s daily activities and progress
- Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework or certification (preferred)
- Previous experience working with young children (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
Work Environment
- Fast-paced childcare setting
- May require flexible hours, including early mornings or late afternoons.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
