Full or Part time Line Cook / Prep Cook!
- Prepares all food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follows recipes, portion controls, presentation specifications as set by the restaurant and create new recipes based from Greek cuisine.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
- Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Performs additional responsibilities, as requested .
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Previous prep or line cook experience and knowledge of Greek cuisine its a plus.
- Ability to take direction.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, able to supervise others (culinary arts graduate or 2+ years experience its a plus but we will consider less experience)
- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in hot or humid conditions
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
Experience:
- Restaurant experience: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Food handler's certification Texas (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
