Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Vac Truck Driver/Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized vacuum trucks to perform a variety of industrial and environmental services. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and equipment operation will ensure efficient and safe delivery of services to our clients. Duties
- Safely operate vacuum trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles, tanker, roll-off truck, and tractor-trailer units.
- Load, transport, and unload equipment, materials, and waste products along designated routes.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance.
- Follow detailed route schedules for delivery and service calls, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, maintenance activities, and route documentation.
- Assist with loading and securing freight or equipment using forklifts or other necessary tools when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any operational issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) with manual transmission experience preferred.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving with tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Familiarity with operating specialized equipment such as vacuum trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tanker units.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual methods.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to transporting hazardous or sensitive materials.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers or flatbed trucking is a plus.
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, load securement, and vehicle maintenance.
