IMG is looking for a full-time Shop Mechanic to join our incredible team!
Position Purpose:
The Shop Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling small engine equipment and gasoline or electric powered hydraulic equipment; maintain equipment inventory and equipment maintenance records; serves as the point of contact for equipment maintenance related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble, maintain, and repair hydraulic equipment and pumps.
Perform routine maintenance, such as lubricating and replacing parts.
Reassemble and reinstall components and small engines following repairs.
Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed with leadership.
Test and inspect engines and other equipment for malfunctioning parts.
Repair or replace worn, defective or broken parts.
Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.
Perform preventative maintenance works such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment.
Repair and maintain equipment used in the fabrication and manufacture of steel products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
3-5 years’ experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of small equipment for gas and hydraulic equipment.
Experience with assembling and/or repair of hydraulic equipment and pumps highly desired.
High school diploma, GED or trade experience preferred.
