- Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.

Position material under needles, using marks on machines, clamps, templates, or cloth as guides.

Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.

Match material pieces in correct sequences prior to sewing.

Guide material under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together.

Start and operate or tend machines, such as single or double needle serging and flat-bed felling machines, to automatically join and reinforce material.

Record quantities of materials processed.

Inspect production pieces to locate defects or damage, and mark errors as necessary.

Select supplies such as fasteners and thread, according to job requirements.

Mount attachments, such as needles, cutting blades, or pattern plates, and adjust machine guides according to specifications.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred with a minimum of one (1) year of related industrial sewing experience.

Capable of operating: Single Needle, Double Needle, Overlock, Surger, Over The Arm and other sewing machines.

Must be able to independently think logically to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions,conclusions or approaches to problems in the performance of job related tasks.
- Ability to follow specific instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.

Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
The work is performed in an warehouse/fabrication setting with a high noise level. This job frequently requires the employee to stand; walk; sit; use hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; read; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities include:
