About the Practice
Margaret Greenough, MD is a family medicine practice in San Luis Obispo providing comprehensive, compassionate care for individuals and families. The practice emphasizes strong communication, preventive wellness, patient advocacy, and continuity of care.
In addition to concierge care, the practice manages an established panel of approximately 700 managed care/HMO patients. This patient panel will be the primary focus of the temporary PA role.
We are seeking a temporary Physician Assistant to provide clinical coverage during an upcoming provider leave. This is a strong opportunity for a PA who enjoys primary care and is comfortable working in a smaller practice environment with physician oversight and medical assistant support.
About the Role
The temporary PA will support Dr. Greenough’s managed care/HMO patient panel through routine visits, follow-ups, telehealth appointments, inbox support, refill requests, lab follow-up, and care coordination.
The role may also include coverage for concierge patients when Dr. Greenough is out of town. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, warm, professional, and comfortable stepping into an established practice with a manageable patient schedule.
This is a temporary role anticipated at 3–4 days per week, depending on clinic needs and candidate availability. The schedule may include approximately 3 in-office days, plus a half-day of telehealth and a half-day of remote inbox coverage.
