Stellar Tax Co. is looking for dedicated Tax Preparers who are passionate about helping clients navigate the tax filing process. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Previous tax preparation experience is preferred but not required. Stellar Tax Co. provides the resources, guidance, and support needed to help team members successfully perform their role and maintain compliance with IRS requirements.
This position is available for both remote and in-office candidates.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate federal and state tax returns
- Review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy
- Assist clients with tax-related questions and provide professional service
- Identify applicable deductions and credits while following IRS guidelines
- Maintain client confidentiality and protect sensitive information
- Ensure tax returns meet company quality standards and due diligence requirements
- Stay informed on tax law updates and company procedures
- Meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client files
- Comfortable learning and using tax preparation software
- Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering quality work
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain an active PTIN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous tax preparation experience
- Experience preparing individual tax returns (Form 1040)
- Experience with Schedule C/self-employed returns
- Familiarity with tax preparation software
- Prior customer service experience
