General Labor / Property Maintenance Technician (Housing Available)
We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who is skilled with their hands and can work independently without constant supervision. This is not an entry-level labor position. We need someone who can solve problems, take initiative, and tackle a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction projects.
Starting pay is $16-$20 per hour. After your 30-day probationary period, we will sit down and discuss your performance, skills, motivation, and pay rate. If you are fast and efficient, there is no problem paying $20
We also offer a work-for-housing exchange. A private 1-bedroom apartment located on the property is available immediately. In exchange for 15 hours of work per week, the apartment and all utilities are provided. Any hours worked beyond those 15 hours are paid at your hourly rate.
Schedule
- Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- One hour allotted for breaks/lunch
- Most weeks range from 20-40 hours
- Additional work is often available for those who want it and show initiative.

Skills We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate should have experience or working knowledge in several of the following areas:
- General construction and repairs
- Basic carpentry
- Basic plumbing repairs
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Equipment and property maintenance
- Basic mechanical work
- Changing oil and performing routine maintenance on equipment
- Trailer maintenance and repairs
- Replacing trailer lights, wiring, and tires
- Operating power tools safely
- Organizing and maintaining work areas
- Cleaning and property upkeep
- Landscaping, mowing, and trimming
- Fence construction and repair
- General labor and material handling
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a truck and pulling a trailer
- Able to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Dependable transportation
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to follow instructions while also working independently
- Strong work ethic and good common sense
What We Need
Each day you will be given a list of tasks and expected to complete them efficiently without someone standing over your shoulder. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, and has a "see a problem, fix a problem" mentality.
The private apartment is located in a beautiful country setting just outside of Farmington, and the majority of the work is located directly next door to the residence.
