Ipswich Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, qualified professional to fill a unique dual-role position for the upcoming school year. This full-time position combines a 0.6 FTE Health Teacher role with a 0.4 FTE Athletic Trainer role, offering a comprehensive opportunity to impact student wellness both in the classroom and on the athletic field.

Teach three (3) sections of Health Education per semester.

Develop and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lesson plans that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate grading records and constructive feedback.

Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

Fulfill the comprehensive duties of an Athletic Trainer for the duration of the entire school year.

Provide preventative care, emergency triage, evaluation, and rehabilitation for student-athletes.

Oversee injury management, concussion protocols, and return-to-play clearances in coordination with medical professionals.

Attend home athletic events and practices as designated by the Athletic Director.
Candidates must possess the following credentials at the time of application:

Massachusetts DESE Health Teacher License OR a current Athletic Trainer certification/license with the eligibility and willingness to pursue a DESE waiver (which the district will submit and sponsor upon hire).

Valid Athletic Trainer License issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals.

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, coaches, and administration.
